Does it work for both knitting and crochet?

Yes. The color intelligence features work for any fiber project — the tool doesn't care whether you're knitting or crocheting.

What kind of photos work best?

Any clear photo with distinct colors — finished projects, inspiration images, magazine clippings, color swatches, or even a painting you love. The more defined the colors, the better the results.
